It seems like there are a few million people out there claiming their making money online.  Some of them really are.  Others are engaged in a little bit of marketing chicanery and a lot of wishful thinking.

What separates the two groups?  Who is REALLY making money online, anyway?

You can’t answer that based on technique, niche or product.  Those vary.  There are people making good money in many different fields by using a variety of different strategies.

The only way to identify those who are really making it happen is probably by the traits they exhibit.  The winners in this game tend to have a few things in common.

First, they work on their businesses regularly and consistently with a real plan in mind.  They don’t fly blind and they don’t operate on whims.  They have fun, but they approach the situation with a good strategy and overall plan in mind.

Second, they tend to be those most willing to take action.  Wallflowers who fear taking big plunges can find online moneymaking harder than do those who are willing to experiment and to make big moves.  Nothing happens without action.

Third, the people who are making money seem to be more motivated than those who aren’t.  They seem to realize that the process has its ups and downs.  They also know that no one is going to turn their business into a success just for the sake of fun.  The folks who keep plugging away every day are usually the ones who are making real money.
